Inclusive communication and learning in correctional settings
FLEX-ability supports prison staff, educators and trainers in recognising barriers to participation and applying inclusive approaches — so that people have a fair opportunity to understand, participate, learn and demonstrate what they can do.
Who is it for?
Any practitioner who has an educational, training, communication or supportive role, including uniformed prison staff, educators, vocational trainers and other professionals working directly with people in detention — and trainers responsible for staff development.
Inclusive practice is not about expecting less from people. It is about removing unnecessary barriers.
Individual learning
Work through modules and activities at your own pace. Progress and notes stay on this device.
Facilitated group use
Trainers can project activities, use the facilitator guidance on each page and print materials for discussion.
