Learning outcomes

By the end of the module, participants will be able to:

• Plan, organise and facilitate a short workshop on inclusive communication and inclusive educational practices for correctional staff within their own institution, region or professional network.
• Raise awareness of hidden barriers to learning and advocate for collective action to create more inclusive correctional environments.
• Use participatory and reflective teaching methods that encourage dialogue, collaboration and mutual learning among adult professionals.
• Co-create learning with participants, recognising that adult learners bring valuable professional experience and expertise.
• Facilitate psychologically safe learning environments where participants feel able to ask questions, share uncertainties and reflect openly.
• Design inclusive evaluation strategies that measure not only knowledge acquisition, but also participation, confidence, engagement, reduced stigma, changes in attitudes and intentions to apply learning in practice.
• Co-develop evaluation methods and indicators with participants.
• Use a range of inclusive evaluation methods, including observation, reflective discussions, peer feedback, visual tools, practical demonstrations and learner self-assessment.
• Evaluate and report local workshops using the FLEX-ability templates.
• Develop an individual action plan for implementing and sustaining inclusive communication and learning practices within their own professional context.
